Our VE testing sessions are held on the fourth Saturday of each month from 9am till 1030am walkins always welcome. Please arrive early so you can aviod disrupting those taking a test. The VE session will be held at Worth Library, located at 6917 W 111th Street, Worth, IL 60482.
Do you have any ideas for a presentation for the next meeting? Are you willing to make a presentation on a topic that is interesting, to yourself and the club? Then please drop an email to the club, or bring up the topic at a meeting.
STARS owns and operates two repeaters. Our VHF repeater operates on a frequency of 146.640 MHz with a negative off set of 600Hz using a PL access tone of 107.2 Hz. Our UHF repeater operates on a frequency of 442.67 MHz with a positive off set of 5MHz and a PL access tone of 131.8 Hz.
Please send your completed membership application, a copy of your Amatuer Radio license, together with a check for a year's dues to the STARS mailing address. You are also welcome to sign up at a meeting. You may make a cash payment in person baymont inn kissimmee at that time. Prospective members are encouraged to have a sponsor and to attend at least one or more meetings.
