Love the food at this restaurant! We had the same appetizer as we did last fall with the duck (see review below) and for entrees had the scallops and ahi tuna - both were absolutely amazing in taste and texture!
Tried about 5 different appetizers with a friend and my favorite was the duck which was shredded and came with crepes and an Asian-type sauce (I forgot the name). You opened up the crepe and spread the sauce on it, then filled it with duck, and rolled it up. SO GOOD!!! Also had the most interesting bread basket with different types of bread from all over the world.
My wife and I made reservations well in advance, but since we went in June, the restaurant was not crowded. The food was excellent. We had grouper and duck, both of which were really good. We had dinner there two times and both were very good. If you like the old style made at your table Cesar Salad, then this is the only place I know of any where that will. Still in the hardwood bowl and by hand. IT IS FANTASTIC. The soup is good and the Grouper is very good. Enjoy.
Pago Pago No go No go. The (thick) piece of Tuna was thin and overcooked. The steak tartar was excellent(made at the table).The sea bass was also overcooked. We had the filet mignon and the macadamia nut crusted grouper with a side of asparagus. We thought the food was adequate and the atmosphere was friendly and attentive. The rolls were non-descript and the butter was not fresh. We liked the onion soup with gouda on top and the red zinfandel wine was great. We had the creme brulee and chocolate lava cake for dessert. It was above average.

we have been coming to this restaurant every time we come to Aruba for the fast 3 years(about 5 times). But this will be the last, prices are not up to the the food and the service they provide. We ate also at Amazonia and el Gaucho and had much better attention and prices.
The food was very good. My husband had the catch of the day which he raved about and I had a steak which was well done like I like but tender and juicy. The atmosphere is really romantic and the staff was wonderful. The place was pretty full when we went and we didn't have a reservation, but they managed to seat us fairly quickly!

The lobster bisque here is the best we have ever tasted and my wife is a chef at a major seafood restaurant. Portions here like some other restaurants in Aruba seem to be larger than necessary especially steak but the food is excellent. We remember this Westin Hotel as the Wyndham but the Pago has not changed. We ate at Pagp February 26th and March 2, 2007. This is one of our favorite restaurants on the Island. My husband had the Seafood Treasure and Steak (mouth watering) for dinner. I had the wedge salad one night and the delicious crab cakes another night. For dinner I had my favority Caribbean Shrimp. This dish is amazingly delicious. Of course the staff can't do enough for you. They are very professional and know their wines. We can't wait to return next September.
We ate at Pago Pago on March 4, 2007. The ambiance was grand and yet relaxed. The staff made us fell very welcome and were extremely attentive. My wife and I both chose to have the lobster bisque en'croute (topped lowest vacation packages las vegas with puff pastry) and the catch of the day which was orange roughy stuffed with crab filling and served lowest vacation packages las vegas with lobster sauce. The flavors and presentation were amazing. Despite a gorgeous dessert tray the soup and entree filled us up leaving no room for dessert.

Steak lovers MUST sample the food in this fine restaurant. I'm just sorry I only went here once. I usually order the filet mignon. I'm so glad I listened to the waiter's advice and ordered the rib eye. It had to be one of the most jucicy, tender and flavorful steaks I've ever eaten--- yes, even better than El Gaucho. We went to Pago Pago after a friend highly recommended it. I can’t say I was disappointed. The food was good but not great. But definitely not worth the money we spent. The facility automatically charges 15 percent so don’t except great service. For that type of money I'll eat somewhere else.

WE ORDERED 1 HALIBUT, 2 GROUPER, 1 CATCH OF THE DAY MAHI-MAHI(WHICH COMES WITH SIDES) ALL OTHER DISHES DO NOT COME WITH ANY SIDES. In the Aruba Resort Hotel (Name may have changed again). We had a choice table in the corner with candelabra for the two of us (reserved by our concierge of our hotel). This is fine dining in Aruba. Dinner amp; dessert for two including lowest vacation packages las vegas bottled water and a bottle of white wine was $125 (TIP IS AUTO INCLUDED). Macadamia Grouper amp; Fish of the day were excellent, as was the Volcano cake (Caramel cheescake was good too). I would return!
Truly great service by our waiter, Errol. I let Errol be my gastronomic guide. He recommended the Macadamia Crusted grouper. I savored every bite. Perfection. Beautiful presentation, -the salad was a work of art.
we just got back from aruba yesterday, and i have to say, pago pago was one of the nicest places we at at on our visit. when you arrive, you are greeted by very polite hosts, who seat you, and give you the wine list, and a quick rundown of the specials. we ordered a great bottle of brunello antonori which our waitor was very fond of. as our wine was decanting we also talked with him about wines he liked. it was an added pleasure which added to our experience. at times we felt like we had two good waiters throughout the night, lowest vacation packages las vegas which made for quick service. the food was excellent, and i would most definately highly recommend this establishment. they did mention that the restaurant would most likely be remodeled soon as the windam has changed ownership. great place for a good meal.

The lobster bisque was delicious. The grouper was well-prepared/presented. My wife loved the presentation of their delicious dessert with a hand drawn picture of a palm tree in syrup on the plate. It was our first meal on the island and likely the best we had all week.
More important -- the meal -- starting with crab chowder for me, lobster bisque for her -- both exquisite! Mains - sea bass for her -very good -- sirloin for me -- well marbled, tender, cooked properly but far too large for even a big person -- excellent though.
