Born in Mallorca in 1965, Bernardí Roig is a sculptor, photographer and video maker that aims at depicting the society as he sees it, that is a society that is a bit lost, with no identity. His work revolves around some key elements:
• The human body : almost every work from Bernardí cruise ship ratings and reviews Roig features a solitary man, who looks like a surreal white figure. This figure embodies mankind, so that every person who sees the artist's work can identify to this strange white man.
• Light : another characteristic of the artist's work is the presence of light, that is usually very bright, and even blinding. This fluorescent light is a symbol of how blinded men are because of mass media communication, which prevents them from seeing things cruise ship ratings and reviews as they truly are.
Bernardí Roig could be said to be a pessimistic artist, because his work shows his fascination for death, and depicts a man isolated from the others because he couldn't communicate with them. Yet, this is also a symbol of hope, because he's trying to make us desire to change for the better.
Some might not like his work, because it's definitely not a conventional form of art, but as you can see, Bernardí Roig's curriculum is quite impressive. And if you're not convinced yet, you can have a look at his work .
