Aosta Valley is the smallest region in Italy and is located in its north-west part, between France and Switzerland. It is a mainly mountainous region, centered around the highest parts of the Alps;  Mount Cervino , also known as Matterhorn,  Mount Rosa , Gran Paradiso and most famous:  Mont Blanc , which is the highest mountain in Europe ( 4810 meters). Those who are not familiar with mountaineering can use the comfortable yet spectacular cable car, which can be caught near Courmayeur, a worldly famous ski resort .
When we think about the Aosta Valley, we immediately think of the ski slopes of Cervinia ,  Courmayer  and Pila , very famous in Europe and favorite destination for  ski lovers from all over the world. Other activities of the area are trekking, ice-skating and snowboarding.
