Anyway, that's about it for the rooms. Considering the size of the rooms, it was pretty quiet throug
Since we weren't (and still are not) laying on hundreds of thousands of miles and points, the hotels from this post forward were all paid for out-of-pocket. You know what that means, right? Yes, this is where the saying "beggars can't be choosers" apply. Kidding.
Seriously, though, starting with this hotel, we tried to go with the lesser evil. By Japan standards, affordable hotels equal tiny. So we tried to research the best options available for our budget and for what we want to accomplish for the rest of our stay. This hotel and the following ones are by no means bad. If at all, this one actually tops most travel sites and gets good reviews. And if it is any consolation, most everything in Japan is clean...including their lodging; budget or not.
One of the things car rentals new york city I noticed with the property, from the time we checked-in to the rest of our stay, is that there seems to be a lot of guests in the lobby at all times. Whether they were checking-in or -out, or waiting car rentals new york city for friends to come down, or what have you, there seems to be no less than twenty to thirty people milling around in the lobby at one time. Not that its bad, just an observation :-) The lobby was cozy enough to handle the number of people needing to do their business there or those who just want to plain "hang out" :-)
And that was pretty much check-in. No fuss, no bell service to speak of (budget hotel, remember? hehe), quick, and efficient. Just the way I like it. Actually, no, I want the full suite of five-star service! But, again, repeat after me: beggars can't be choosers. Hehe. But I digress.
First and foremost, the room was a surprise. Not in the way that it is tiny but exactly because of the opposite. I mean, yes, it's small by standards; but it's nothing to balk at. Think of it as if you were in a ship's cabin :-)....
Anyway, that's about it for the rooms. Considering the size of the rooms, it was pretty quiet throughout my stay. It would only get noisy when people are actually talking right outside our door. Otherwise, it was pretty peaceful.
Like the room, the bathroom serves its purpose. I may not be the best person to judge that given I am shorter than the average joe :-), but unless you're 6 ft. or taller, then I guess you'll be fine. Come to think of it, good luck to you in Japan if you are a giant :-)
As mentioned earlier, the room and bathroom are both spotless. car rentals new york city If there is one negative thing worth noting, it is the thinner-than-usual bath towels and the slightly rough sheets. Then again, I guess you get what you pay for.
The hotel has a food outlet (or two, didn't really check), laundry facilities in the basement, vending machines on every floor, and a guest lounge in the mezzanine where guests can access free wi-fi and make use of a desktop computer. I think that covers car rentals new york city it all :-)
The hotel is actually located on the border of Shinjuku and Shibuya. I never really walked from the hotel to the latter, but would always use the Shinjuku station as my start-off point. So from the hotel, walking towards Shinjuku proper, you would have all of the shopping, dining, entertainment, and other options that I mentioned in my post about Shinjuku ( here ) that you need.
