The auto industry has said that traffic at East Coast dealerships slowed as residents began to brace for the storm, which hit at the end of the month. Toyota estimated the industry lost 30,000 sales, while the Ford Motor Corporation s estimates were slightly lower, at 20,000 to 25,000.  ( The New York Times ).
