For our next Shutterbug Photography Contest, we want to know how our readers see the Volunteer State. That's philippines travel agency why we're giving you the broad topic "Rural Tennessee" on which to focus. Entries can include Tennesseans, historic sites, entertaining events — anything that signifies rural Tennessee to you.
So get your camera out and be on the lookout for that perfect "Tennessee" shot. This broad theme will give you plenty of room to be creative. Anything goes that describes the Volunteer State you love. Keep in mind that early morning and late afternoon usually have better-quality light than midday sun.
Judges will be looking for sharp images, good composition, interesting lighting and a relationship to our theme. Be sure to read the Shutterbug assignment, and please follow the guidelines. Winners will be published in the March issue of The Tennessee Magazine.
Extensive digital manipulation of photographs is prohibited. The use of photo-editing software should be limited. Adjusting exposure, color balance, contrast and sharpness is allowed, but highly manipulating colors and content of images is not.
Please include the name of each recognizable person in your photograph. It is the photographer's responsibility to have the subject's permission to enter his or her image in the contest. You must include the subject's name and contact information with your submission. Omitting any of this information can result in disqualification.
