The new terminal at the Myrtle Beach International Airport is still scheduled for a Jan. 25 completion ahead of its first flight on Feb. 19, but the opening of the rental car building has been delayed again.
Declines in passenger new orleans swamp tours numbers that have plagued Myrtle Beach International Airport this year continued in September with another double-digit drop, and officials say it won t get any better until next year.
A year ago, a dingy, cramped and aging terminal greeted travelers to Sacramento new orleans swamp tours International Airport. The utilitarian, 44-year-old new orleans swamp tours building was designed for another era in air travel, one without long security new orleans swamp tours lines and with in-flight dining.
There s a lot of logistics and there will be a lot of signage explaining the changes, said Kirk Lovell, the airport s marketing manager. It is definitely a change but once everybody gets comfortable with it, it will be a lot better.
Also in mid-October, passengers will go to a new place to rent a car. The rental car companies will move out of the current terminal overnight Oct. 15 and re-open in a new rental car building outside the terminal Oct. 16.
The first flights are expected to take off from the new terminal in February, with Feb. 19 as the planned go live date. Officials say the new terminal must be open by then so it can handle the rush of golfers that are expected to start flying in soon after that opening for the busy spring golf season.
