Florida State was one of three ACC schools that landed four players on the preseason All-ACC team that was announced by the conference Wednesday afternoon. Clemson and Virginia Tech also had four players on the list.
The preseason team was picked earlier this week by members of the media who attended the ACC Kickoff in Greensboro, N.C. Media also picked the Seminoles earlier this week to win the ACC Championship, beating Coastal Division educational tour companies winner Virginia Tech. Last season, despite being picked ACC champions, the Seminoles finished third in the Atlantic Division to Wake Forest educational tour companies and eventual conference champion Clemson.
The media s preseason pick to win Player of the Year honors, Clemson receiver Sammy Watkins, was the leading vote-getter on the All-ACC team. He finished with 68 votes. Senior defensive educational tour companies end Brandon Jenkins had the most votes of any FSU player on the team, pulling away 59 votes.
Joining Jenkins was junior safety Lamarcus Joyner and seniors Dustin Hopkins and Greg Reid. Hopkins educational tour companies was a finalist for the Lou Groza Award last season, which goes to the nation s top kicker. Despite battling legal issues this summer, Reid enters 2012 with a chance to break school punt return records set by NFL and college Hall of Famer Deion Sanders.
It is insane to pick 2 undersized D-Lineman to the ACC First team when there are a few other DT s in the ACC who are better! FSU, and VT have at least 2 to 3 players each who are better. I expect FSU s improved and motivated Offensive linemen to physically destroy and utterly dominate the undersized Nikita Whitlock (260lbs) and Joe Vellano (285) this year. The NOLES Defensive unit will prove themselves and dominate educational tour companies the All-ACC Conf Teams at the end of the year. The folks (sports writers) who chose some of these players are real good judges educational tour companies of talent and potential!
