Developed jointly by the Morristown Parking Authority and the Geraldine R. Designed by Lambertville, New Jersey-based Minno Wasko Architects, the project applied for 11 credits under LEED s Sustainable Sites category, 4 in Water Efficiency, 13 in Energy and Atmosphere, 6 in Materials and Resources, and 5 in Innovation and Design, including education programs for staff and tenants and a green cleaning program.
Specific green design features include a geothermal heating and cooling system, hotels in benidorm spain 99 percent construction debris diverted from landfills, a graywater system, hotels in benidorm spain a green roof, and a rooftop photovoltaic system. One of the more unique green design features at 14 Maple Avenue is a three-story interior biowall. The living wall is attached to a concrete wall and is connected to the building s HVAC system, filtering air before it circulates into individual offices. Minno Wasko was also able to recycle structural materials from the Epstein Department Store, which formerly occupied the site.
Construction hotels in benidorm spain costs totaled around $9.5 million; after ground broke back in January of 2007, construction took 20 months to complete.
