'Ignite the Night' The 36th Macy's Fourth of July fireworks show, will take place over the Hudson River on Wednesday, beginning about 9:20 p.m. The best viewing sites in Manhattan are on the West Side, along the southbound lanes of the West Side Highway, from 14th to 59th Streets cruise line review and some side streets between 11th and 12th Avenues; and Pier 84 (from 44th Street).
