Keith Urban is treking across the country on his Get Closer World Tour. At each stop, he performs his current single, "Long Hot Summer," which is quickly making its way up the charts. He wrote the song with pop icon, Richard Marx.
We hadn t written a lot in the last year or two, Keith explained on his blog. I really loved writing with him. We wrote 'Better Life' on the last record and 'Everybody' on the last album as well. I just really wanted to write with him again. He came to Nashville and we did a typical sort of drum machine and little loop groove. I like the drive and the edgier sort of thing.
Summer songs are some of Keith's favorites. He experienced great success with his song, "Til Summer Comes Around." thailandtravel packages "I like to have at least one good summer thailandtravel packages song on the record," he said. "It s been a hit for touring. It s always good having those songs."
Keith recently gave Yallwire an inside look at his Get Closer tour as it continues through the summer. He wants to make sure audiences get their money's worth when they attend one of his shows. thailandtravel packages He is also staying true to his word of wanting to "get closer" to his fans this summer.
"I love getting out among everybody," he said. "It gets chaotic, what am I doing out here. There is something about the adrenaline, electricity and on edge unpredictability that I love. I think that's what live concerts are about."
Despite the fact that stage set up and the production of the show is always very detailed, he wants to keep creativity in each performance. "When it gets to this level of production, everything is so thought out and there's not much spontaneity left," thailandtravel packages Keith admitted. "I can always feel it, when it's too predictable or trying to look very spontaneous. It's like, 'Yeah, I am not really buying that.' So we're trying to keep some real life in the show, to pull people out of the audience. It's random."
Loving the Long Hot Summer song and this tour is a must see! You will never be the same after one of his shows and this tour is fantastic! I think Entertainer, doesn t do justice to a Keith Urban concert experience! Do yourself a favor and go to one of his shows!
I know what he means about spontaneous thailandtravel packages things seeming too planned out at other concerts thailandtravel packages I saw Taylor Swift a few weeks ago and while I understand the need for safety (she is a young girl, obviously), I couldn t believe the amount of planning that went into her spontaneous walking by the audience to the small stage in back. Our seats were close so I could see it all they had every security person thailandtravel packages in the building holding a large cable to hold back fans all the way as she walked to the stage. It took them 3 songs to get that ready and her walk lasted about 30 seconds. It was very weird to see people pushed up against each other with a cable and kept away from Taylor. I think it is a risk for Keith to go into the crowd, but at the same time, it is so fun and exciting that he doesn t mind the risk.
