I'm sure many of you know that as far as music goes, he's up there for me. Not even Tchaikovsky can dislodge him from the top. I was ecstatic when I got an almost-mint-condition copy of his memoir at Booksale 5 star las vegas hotels for just a little more than a hundred pesos. I read relatively fast (not applicable to law books) but as I dragged on reading this one, I wondered what was wrong with me. It does not. It's well-written, but only barely, and chronicles the movement of a gifted young boy in a narrative that practically anyone who can write in English can do. The expectations kill it. No, my expectations killed it.

I don't remember much of Sting's life now but would like to know if Ayahuasca really has that effect on a person or, like I do most of the time, Sting was just daydreaming to have something to write about. My excuse is I write fiction. But, as per Mark Twain, Truth is stranger than Fiction. (Ah, Sting, how you make me go through clichés.)
