First up: Citi is pairing up with Live Nation to offer its cardholders a way to shop for concert tickets using rewards points. The entertainment ticket provider is the first "Shop with Points" merchant for Citi's ThankYou Rewards program.
The issuer and Live Nation already offer ticket presales, preferred tickets and VIP experiences and access through the Citi Private Pass program, available to those with an eligible Citi credit or debit card.
Next: British Airways Visa Signature card extends an offer to new cardholders hotels to earn up to 100,000 British Airways miles in the first year. The deal was supposed to expire this week, but is being extended for a limited time, according to Chase, which backs the card.
New cardholders can get 50,000 extra miles after the first purchase. They can add another 25,000 after spending $10,000 in the first year, followed hotels by another 25,000 miles after charging an additional hotels $10,000 in the first year.
(If you're keeping count, that means you need to spend $20,000 in the first year to get the 100,000 hotels miles, the equivalent of one round-trip transatlantic business class ticket. Imagine if you opt for economy seats.)

Before you rush to sign up, here are few points to consider. Do you regularly make $20,000 in credit hotels card purchases a year? If not, it may not be worth doing it just to get the 100,000 hotels bonus. Same question applies for that free companion ticket. Don't go into debt to get rewards.
Second, do you fly British Airways often? If not, maybe you should find a card that works with an airline you use frequently. Or, consider hotels a travel rewards card that isn't affiliated with just one airline.
