I would urge you to make sure you don't shortchange your time in Ljubljana! It is lovely and charming and IMHO very special! Depending on your interests, a day there might be enough; I'm not sure whether less than that would work well for you.
If you are willing to rent a car, I'm not sure why you are considering a taxi for Predjama Castle. Having a car would simplify parts of this trip, although I believe most parts are possible by public transportation - but my info is not current, and so could be mistaken.
Also, as I recall, when I was there (2009), if I wanted to rent a car for more than one day, paying for 3 days was less expensive than paying for 2 days. (You can, of course, return it early for no additional fee.) I know that sounds weird, but it was in fact the case, so check it out!
I suspect that's a matter of personal preference. I was pleased with my decision to spend 2 nights in Ljubljana and 2 nights in Bled, but I don't mind changing hotels with some frequency. In contrast, I hate backtracking motor coach tours pheonix az unnecessarily!
These places are all very easily visited on your own, so only consider a guided tour if that is your preference. (The Postojna Cave itself motor coach tours pheonix az may be an exception -- you may need to join a tour to enter the cave. I'm not sure, as I went to Skocjan instead. Joining a tour once at that cave was required there. I was able to go to/from the cave, and to explore the area outside the cave, on my own.)
Next day, I checked out and picked up a rental car. I visited Skocjan (the cave and a bit of the area around it), stopped briefly at Predjama (just to see the entrance; I didn't go in), drove to Lake Bohinj and walked around a bit, and then went to Lake Bled, where I checked into my hotel in time to relax over dinner. NOTE that I traveled in mid-June, so had longer days than you will have. I don't know if you would have time to see Lake Bohinj before sunset in mid-Oct.
